The engineering design process : ウィキペディア英語版 | Engineering design process
: The engineering design process is a methodical series of steps that engineers use in creating functional products and processes. The process is highly iterative - parts of the process often need to be repeated many times before can be entered - though the part(s) that get iterated and the number of such cycles in any given project can be highly variable. One framing of the engineering design process delineates the following stages: research, conceptualization, feasibility assessment, establishing design requirements, preliminary design, detailed design, production planning and tool design, and production.〔Ertas, A. & Jones, J. (1996). The Engineering Design Process. 2nd ed. New York, N.Y., John Wiley & Sons, Inc.〕 The steps tend to get articulated, subdivided, and/or illustrated in a variety of different ways, but they generally reflect certain core principles regarding the underlying concepts and their respective sequence and interrelationship. ==Common Stages of the Engineering Design Process==
